The launch of Captain Laserhawk

Captain Laserhawk is a top-down shooter set in the Ubisoft universe, featuring characters from games like Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Rayman, Assassin’s Creed, and more. It combines classic shooter mechanics with Web3 features and NFT support.

NFT and Web3 capabilities

The game launches on the Ethereum Arbitrum network with an NFT mint starting December 11 on Magic Eden. Users will be able to receive free NFTs with various utilities, such as governance votes and collectible items.

Growth in blockchain gaming

As 2025 approaches, the blockchain and Web3 gaming sector continues to show growth. NFT sales show steady increases, and funds like the $150M from Beam Foundation in Abu Dhabi support this development.

The launch of Captain Laserhawk highlights the growing role of Web3 and NFTs in gaming. The joint efforts of the Arbitrum Foundation and Ubisoft promise new opportunities and changes in the video game industry.
