The decentralized finance platform, Veda, has announced the appointment of TuongVy Le, a former SEC official, as general counsel. This move aims to enhance the company's efforts in expanding crosschain yield products targeted at institutional investors.
TuongVy Le's Appointment
On Tuesday, Veda announced the hiring of TuongVy Le as general counsel. Le has nearly six years of experience at the SEC, where she served as chief counsel and senior adviser in the Enforcement Division and the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs.
Le's Experience at SEC
During her time at the SEC, Le advised Congress on early drafts of digital asset legislation and was a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Global Markets Advisory Committee. She was involved in some of the SEC’s earliest crypto enforcement actions.
Trends of Former Regulators Transitioning to Crypto Industry
Le's appointment comes amid a growing trend of former regulators entering the crypto industry. For example, former SEC Chair Jay Clayton has also found a position within a crypto firm. Such transitions reflect the ongoing changes in digital asset regulation.
TuongVy Le's appointment as general counsel at Veda highlights the company’s strategy to attract experienced professionals to navigate the legal aspects of decentralized finance and strengthen its market position.
