Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has once again become a crypto billionaire as Ether prices rise.
Billionaire Status Regained
According to Arkham, Vitalik Buterin's portfolio is currently valued at approximately $1.04 billion. He holds 240,042 ETH and also has smaller stakes in other cryptocurrencies such as Aave Ethereum (AETHWETH), WhiteRock (WHITE), Moo Deng (MOODENG), and Wrapped Ethereum (WETH).
Traders' Expectations for Ether
On Saturday, Ether surged by 6.38%, reaching $4,332. Traders anticipate that Ether may reclaim its all-time high of $4,878 from November 2021. CoinGlass data shows that a move to $4,500 could put around $1.35 billion in short positions at risk.
Buterin's Warning on Ether Treasuries
Buterin first became a crypto billionaire at 27 when Ether crossed $3,000 in May 2021. However, he warns against the risks associated with ether treasuries, stating they could lead to over-leveraging and potential downfall of ETH.
Vitalik Buterin has once again confirmed his billionaire status amid rising Ether prices. Nevertheless, his warnings about the risks associated with treasuries remain relevant in the current landscape.
