In a recent announcement, DaVinci alerted the community about deceptive individuals who are introducing illicit tokens falsely claiming association with the official SHIB ecosystem. Prominent figure Lucie from the Shiba Inu team has been active on various platforms, urging the community to remain vigilant. She stressed the importance of not disclosing wallet keys, passwords, or any sensitive information. Additionally, Lucie cautioned against linking wallets to unverified websites, often exploited by scammers to steal funds.

Rising Scams

The warning emphasizes the surge in scams, especially those fraudulently asserting ties to Shiba Inu developers and the upcoming layer-2 solution for the ecosystem. There are indications that scammers might falsely claim the release of the TREAT token, which was promised long ago but has not been launched yet.

The SHIB Discord admin clarified that banning these tokens is not feasible due to ShibaSwap's decentralized nature. The SHIB team urged the community to remain vigilant and express strong disapproval towards scammers and their unethical behaviors.
