In a recent turn of events, Floki Inu, a well-known memecoin, has raised concerns for its investors regarding counterfeit tokens surfacing on the Solana and Base blockchains.

The developers conveyed this cautionary message through a tweet, clarifying that the authentic FLOKI tokens are solely accessible on the BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum networks.

The tweet issued a stark alert stating, 'Scam Alert. Reports have surfaced regarding fraudulent claims of Floki tokens existing on Base or Solana.' This notification was accompanied by a warning. Furthermore, the developers detailed that legitimate FLOKI tokens can only be transacted on the BNB and ETH chains utilizing the correct contract addresses:

  • Ethereum: 0xcf0c122c6b73ff809c693db761e7baebe62b6a2e
  • BNB Smart Chain: 0xfb5b838b6cfeedc2873ab27866079ac55363d37e

Floki emphasized that any other assertions are deceptive and aimed at misleading investors. The developers earnestly advised their investors to exercise caution and validate information solely from official channels.

Recently, there has been a surge in the number of memecoin assets, particularly within the Solana and Base ecosystems. Numerous memecoins, including fraudulent replicas of prominent memecoins, have surfaced across these platforms.
