WEMADE has made a strategic investment in the new console game developer Studio RASA, highlighting the growing interest in the gaming market in Korea and beyond.
About Studio RASA
Studio RASA was founded in June 2023 by Chang Kyu Noh, Tae-yeon Kim, and Hyeon Kim, who previously worked on , which won the Grand Award at the 2023 Korea Game Awards. The new studio is focused on creating high-quality console titles.
Development of Project IL
The studio is currently working on its first project, , aiming for a 2028 release. The investment will be used to expand the development team, build prototypes, and establish art resources.
WEMADE's Investment and Its Significance
WEMADE, led by Kwan-ho Park, acquired a 25% equity stake in Studio RASA after evaluating its creativity and global market potential. The investment also secures WEMADE global publishing rights and a secondary investment option for Project IL.
