New opportunities for institutional and retail users

WisdomTreeConnect will bridge the gap between traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi), incorporating the Digital Fund (WTGXX). The platform will also utilize blockchain for efficient record-keeping and security. The new platform will be accessible through a web portal and API, with future plans to explore opportunities in dApps. Institutional users will have the option to buy or redeem their tokens in USD and USDC, featuring fiat-to-crypto conversions and vice versa. Initially, tokens will be minted on Ethereum, with plans to add more blockchains over time.

BlackRock and Franklin Templeton are at the forefront of the tokenization movement in asset management. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink noted that tokenization could lower settlement costs and offer tailored investment options. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson discussed blockchain, highlighting its cost-effectiveness and new investment opportunities. She also noted the broader application of tokenized assets, predicting closer integration of loyalty programs with real-world assets.
