Zoho announced a partnership with Bridge International Academies to support the education of children from underserved communities in Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda. The announcement was made during the annual Zoholics Nigeria conference.
Partnership Goals
The main objective of the Zoho and Bridge International Academies partnership is to support the education of 200 children from underserved communities by sponsoring school uniforms, fees for four terms, and other essential items.
Implemented Initiatives
The initiative aims to address the financial constraints that hinder students’ access to necessary school supplies. Zoho will also assist Bridge International Academies in digitalisation efforts by providing Zoho Wallet Credits to utilise the company’s technology.
Additional Zoho Programs in Africa
Additionally, Zoho is recycling its billboard ads to create bags. In Nigeria, 500 flex banners have been recycled, and in Kenya, over 1300. Last year, Zoho grew its partner network by 22% and doubled its employee count in Nigeria. In 2023, the company increased its partner network by 21%. Zoho also partnered with She Code Africa to support women in tech and conducted training sessions for SCA Academy trainers. In Kenya, Zoho collaborated with MOMO Pencils on the 'Hope for Literacy' program and with J-Hub Africa at JKUAT University to enhance students' tech skills. Recently, Zoho announced a partnership with CodeTelligence for a 6-month boot camp for economically disadvantaged youth in Nigeria.
