The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has made notable strides in addressing the backlog of unprocessed drivers' license applications, halving the number of pending requests. This improvement is a result of the agency's new, round-the-clock processing system, as stated in the official source.
FRSC Reduces Backlog of Applications
The FRSC has successfully reduced the backlog from 800,000 to 400,000 applications, thanks to a new processing system that operates 24/7. This system enables the agency to issue up to 40,000 licenses each day, significantly accelerating the application process.
Commitment to Eliminate Remaining Backlog
Deputy Corps Marshal Aliyu Datsama highlighted the agency's dedication to eliminating the remaining backlog in the upcoming weeks. In addition, the FRSC is calling on applicants to pick up over 206,000 printed licenses that are currently unclaimed across the nation. They are urging them to take action to finalize their licensing process.
