In a significant crackdown on cybercrime, Ghanaian authorities have apprehended nine Nigerian nationals in Accra, following intelligence from the Cyber Security Authority. This operation not only targeted suspected cybercriminals but also rescued 44 individuals believed to have been forced into illegal activities, as stated in the official source.
Coordinated Raids on Cybercrime Centers
The coordinated raids took place on January 16 and 17, with a joint task force that included the National Security Operations, the Cyber Security Authority, the Criminal Investigations Department, and the National Police SWAT. The operation uncovered cybercrime centers in various locations, including:

- Afienya
- Kwabenya
- Weija
- Tuba
leading to the seizure of 62 laptops, 52 mobile phones, and two pump-action guns.
