The latest Q4 2025 Global Hashrate Heatmap report has unveiled significant shifts in the distribution of Bitcoin mining power across the globe. According to the official information, the findings indicate that the United States has solidified its position as the leading player in the Bitcoin hash rate landscape.
US Bitcoin Hash Rate Surge
According to the report, the US has dramatically increased its share of the global Bitcoin hash rate by 195 percentage points quarter-over-quarter, now commanding 37.8% of the total, which translates to approximately 389 EH/s. This surge underscores the country's dominance in the Bitcoin mining sector.
Russia and China’s Hash Rate Control
In contrast, Russia and China hold 15.5% and 14.1% of the global hash rate, respectively, bringing their combined control to about 68%. However, the report highlights a concerning trend for Russia, which has seen its global share decline by more than 1 percentage point, raising alarms about the potential centralization risks in Bitcoin mining.
Emerging Players in Bitcoin Mining
Interestingly, the report also points to emerging players in South America and the Middle East, with Paraguay notably climbing to fourth place in the global hash rate rankings. This shift suggests a diversification of mining operations beyond the traditional powerhouses, potentially reshaping the future of Bitcoin mining.
