The Ethereum L2 blockchain platform, LightLink, has introduced the gaming plugin Bolt, which allows game developers to create tokens based on game metadata. Using this technology, 2.5 million tokens were issued in collaboration with the Grapes and TallyUP projects. Bolt streamlines the token creation process by offering instant data collection and minting capabilities without gas costs. LightLink offers Web3 developers the ability to reduce the cost of creating tokens to $5000 for 1 million NFTs, significantly cheaper than on other platforms.
The mobile game TallyUP has developed a concept for integration with LightLink, enabling players to transparently track gaming activity, thereby increasing trust within the community. Grapes, a game that integrated the Bolt token minting process, released 3333 NFTs based on Ethereum in May 2023. Grapes co-founder Ben Cusack noted that attracting new users is a challenging task for Web3 developers due to high costs associated with creating new assets. He emphasized that LightLink and Bolt have not only simplified this process but have also set a new standard for Web3 games.
This announcement follows LightLink's recent raising of $4.5 million in initial funding and news of Animoca Brands' expansion of gaming integration with the L2 blockchain.
