Magmic, a mobile game development company known for UFC Fight Card Rummy and Idle Pet Paradise, has announced a new game for mobile devices and browsers. Licensed by Major League Baseball (MLB), the game was introduced at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. This yet-to-be-named new release will allow players to become "idle tycoons" by managing their own baseball stadium. Holding licenses from both MLB and the MLB Players Association, its details are still under wraps, but it is known that players will be able to develop their stadium and trade players.

Since its founding in 2002, Magmic has established itself as an innovator in mobile gaming, becoming a leading developer for Blackberry with its Texas Hold ‘Em King franchise among other successful projects. Over the years, the company's games have been downloaded more than 250 million times, with millions of players worldwide.

Magmic has also gained fame for developing games based on popular intellectual properties, including a mobile version of Hasbro's Scattergories based on ChatGPT and a real-money rummy game for iOS licensed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). These projects highlight Magmic's ability to create diverse and engaging game content.

The upcoming game will support both Web3 and Web2 gameplay, offering players the chance to trade digital assets and play in both traditional and blockchain-based versions without mandatory participation in monetized Web3 features. Magmic CEO Mo Aga emphasized that the new game is designed to be engaging and user-friendly, providing sports fans and mobile gamers with a unique opportunity to own game assets and use a trading platform within a Web3-based gameplay process.
