This trend was noted by a well-known cryptocurrency researcher who goes by the pseudonym Crypto Koryo. He emphasized that the meme coin market is not just growing actively; it's experiencing a genuine explosion of interest, gaining momentum with each passing day.

Crypto Koryo, on his Twitter account, pointed out that the number of meme coins has increased by more than sevenfold since April 2023. Experts attribute this remarkably high growth in humorous assets to the fact that modern technologies now allow their launch with minimal technical knowledge. The emergence of new tools for blockchain projects makes this process accessible even to non-specialists, as launching one's own coin now requires just a few mouse clicks.

Special attention should also be paid to innovations in token standards such as SRC-20, DRC-20, and ASC-20, which have not only simplified the coin creation process but also optimized network transactions. These changes have significantly impacted the distribution of liquidity among major blockchain platforms, redistributing it from giants like Ethereum in favor of their competitors, such as Solana.

According to Crypto Koryo, who analyzes data from CoinMarketCap, it's Solana that has started to dominate the meme coin market since last year. Three years ago, the ETH network served as the main field for projects, including well-known coins like Dogecoin, Floki Inu, and Shiba Inu. However, the current situation indicates market saturation, which could potentially lead to serious problems and changes in the meme coin industry in the future.
