Immutable has announced the global launch of its long-awaited mobile game Guild of Guardians, scheduled for May 15 on the Apple App Store and Google Play. The game, which has already been tested in Canada, Australia, and Indonesia, received high ratings in the App Store.
Guild of Guardians was introduced in March 2021 as a role-playing game managing a squad of four characters but later transformed into a squad-based RPG with auto-play features, reminiscent of "Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes" and "Raid." The developer switch from the Ukrainian company Stepico to the Chinese company Mineloader marked a new phase in the game's development.
This release will be one of the first launched on Immutable's new zkEVM infrastructure and will utilize Passport onboarding and wallet technology. Before the launch, a chain-making system was announced, allowing players to burn existing in-game NFTs for rewards to summon a new series of game characters. The "Altar of Sacrifice" starts on March 25.
Justin Hulog, the Chief Studio Officer at Immutable, expressed pride in the mobile game that the team has worked on for many years. He highlighted that the ability to sacrifice Prayer NFTs to create new Guardian NFTs opens new strategic and competitive opportunities in the game.
Guild of Guardians is already available for pre-registration in the App Store and Google Play, and players who pre-register will receive 10 free summons at the game's launch.
