Rebellion represents the fifth major expansion in Splinterlands, bringing forth a collection of 96 captivating new cards. Among these, there are two exclusive promo cards that will be exclusively accessible to those who engage in the pre-sale event.

With the arrival of Rebellion, a significant shift looms on the horizon for Modern format players in the game. Cards originating from the Untamed edition and its companion mini-edition, Azmure Dice, will no longer find a place in the Modern format. Nevertheless, the Wild format will remain open to cards from all editions, offering players a wider array of strategic options.

Rebellion packs will contain five cards and will be priced at 5000 Credits or 5000 DEC tokens. Players can also opt to use VOUCHERS to reduce the cost by 200 tokens per pack, with a maximum limit of five VOUCHERS per pack.

The pre-sale for Rebellion packs is scheduled to commence on October 18th at 18:00 UTC and will be accessible for 30 days or until all packs are sold out. The top six purchasers during the pre-sale will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Splinterlands team in designing a Legendary Summoner for a future airdrop. Additionally, the top 250 buyers will receive special titles, and even those who make a single pack purchase during the pre-sale have a chance to acquire limited edition promo cards.

Rebellion not only introduces new cards but also unveils four thrilling card abilities: Armored Strike, Corrosive Ward, Flank, and Lookout. Each of these abilities introduces a fresh layer of complexity to the game, giving rise to new strategic possibilities and gameplay dynamics.

A game-changing addition is the introduction of multi-element Summoners and Summoner Tactics in Rebellion, offering players unique abilities to enhance tactical depth once teams are revealed. Initially, this feature will be exclusive to Rebellion Summoners.

Rebellion diverges from automatic airdrops by requiring players to stake Rebellion set cards and packs for eligibility. Airdrops will occur monthly over nine months, with the likelihood of receiving one based on staked asset power scores, where packs carry a power value of 150.

The Rebellion set is set to release officially on December 5th. To ensure it sells out within a year, a decay timer reduces the maximum supply if daily sales fall below 25,000 packs. A total of 9.5 million Rebellion packs will be available, guaranteeing an exciting 2023 for Splinterlands enthusiasts.
