Ripple's Chief Financial Officer, Kristina Campbell, has departed the company after a tenure of approximately two and a half years. According to her updated LinkedIn profile, Campbell has left Ripple and has taken up the role of CFO at Maven Clinic, a digital healthcare provider, starting this month. Prior to joining Ripple in April 2021, Campbell, who holds a Harvard degree, had accumulated several years of experience in the financial services sector.
Ripple has been embroiled in a legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which has filed a lawsuit against the company. A trial for this case is scheduled for the upcoming year.
The cryptocurrency market has experienced significant volatility, largely due to an extended bear market, resulting in layoffs being commonplace across the industry. Meanwhile, Ripple has been expanding its presence in international markets, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.
As of now, Ripple has not provided an immediate response to inquiries from The Block regarding these developments.
