In a significant development amidst the ongoing Balancer exploit crisis, StakeWise has made strides in recovering stolen assets. The Ethereum staking protocol announced on November 3, 2025, that it has successfully retrieved a substantial amount of tokens, providing a glimmer of hope for affected users. According to analysts cited in the report, the outlook is promising.
StakeWise DAO Recovers Stolen Assets
The StakeWise DAO's emergency multisig executed transactions to recover 5,041 osETH, valued at approximately $19 million, and 13,495 osGNO, worth around $17 million, from the Balancer exploiter. This recovery accounts for 73.5% of the stolen osETH, which will be returned to users on a prorata basis, ensuring that those impacted receive their fair share of the recovered assets.
Market Stabilization Efforts
StakeWise's prompt actions have alleviated concerns in the market regarding the potential dumping of large volumes of ETH into circulation. By recovering a significant portion of the stolen tokens, the protocol has contributed to stabilizing ETH's short-term outlook, helping to restore confidence among investors and users alike.
In a contrasting development, BlockchainFX has successfully raised over $107 million in its presale, attracting significant interest from investors. For more details, see the full report here.
