Tether, the well-known issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has launched a new educational division that will provide courses, workshops, and other resources for skill development in blockchain technology and other digital fields. The new division, Tether Edu, will offer a "smart educational environment" in collaboration with experts and pioneers in their fields.

Tether Edu will focus on emerging markets in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Asia. The educational efforts of the division will cover not only blockchain but also topics such as design, artificial intelligence, and coding.

The Tether Edu division will also coordinate the company's existing educational initiatives, including collaborations with the Digital Industry Academy in Georgia and the cryptocurrency exchange Bitkub in Thailand. Additionally, Tether is one of the sponsors of the Plan B summer school in Lugano, Switzerland.

Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, expressed confidence that financial instruments like USDt are not only transactional tools but also catalysts capable of changing economic history. He emphasized that education is a key element in this process.

Tether Edu aims to create a comprehensive and global educational technology platform focused on online learning in various fields. Blockchain education is also becoming increasingly popular at universities around the world, as tech giants and major companies seek employees with blockchain skills. Blockchain-related courses are available at major universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oxford University, and Harvard University, as well as in many local institutions.
