The US Attorney's Office has applied to a federal judge for additional travel restrictions on the former CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao.
According to information presented on February 23, 2024, in an American court, prosecutors have petitioned Judge Brian Tsuchida to approve a motion that expands Zhao's bail conditions.
Prosecutors have proposed that CZ remain in the United States until sentencing and notify any domestic trips at least three days in advance.
It is also noted that the defendant must surrender his valid Canadian passport to a third party who will manage the document and accompany Zhao on trips requiring identification.
In addition to this, prosecutors demand that the former CEO of Binance surrender all his valid and expired passports, as well as travel documents, to his attorney.
Recall that earlier it was reported that Changpeng Zhao attempted to leave the United States at the end of 2023 using Binance.US shares as collateral.
