Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, has taken to his personal X Twitter account to discuss the renewed momentum behind the Web3 vision. He believes that the decentralized internet, initially envisioned in 2014, is now more achievable than ever, urging developers to contribute to this transformative goal. According to analysts cited in the report, the outlook is promising.
Buterin's Vision for Ethereum
In his message, Buterin reiterated the original aim of the 2014 vision, which sought to establish a permissionless and decentralized platform for various applications, including finance, social media, governance, crowdfunding, and alternative internet infrastructure. He outlined that this vision is built on three foundational pillars, with Ethereum serving as the 'world computer' that provides a shared memory for applications, complemented by messaging and storage layers that complete the ecosystem.
The Evolution of Web3 Narratives
Buterin also acknowledged the evolution of different narratives surrounding Web3 over the years. However, he stressed that the fundamental concept of Web3 has remained intact and is now technically more robust than ever. This resurgence in interest and capability presents a unique opportunity for developers to engage with and expand upon the Web3 framework.
Recently, Avalanche partnered with Bitget to enhance Web3 education and development in India, bridging urban and rural builders. This initiative complements Vitalik Buterin's call for renewed Web3 engagement. For more details, see this article.
