EOS FileStore dapp description
EOS FileStore — a secure, immutable file store on the EOS blockchain. EOSfilestore uploads files to the EOS blockchain as multiple transactions (actions).
EOSfilestore was tested mainly for small files (up to 1MB). The net count is predictable for each transaction, but the CPU can vary. You can test a small file and make an estimate.
Benefits of using the project:
| Immutability | Once you upload a file to the blockchain, it cannot be edited. |
| Proof of time | You can claim that you had the file at a specific point in the past. And the deal is your proof. |
| Free | There is no cost to upload a file to EOS, but you need enough EOS to stack on CPU and NET. |
Files, uploaded by EOSfilestore, are not encrypted. This is because EOS is a public blockchain, so the contents of the file can be read by anyone. You can encrypt the file before uploading.
