Brief description of the Etherdoeks decentralized project
Pixels are sold under a smart contract. The customer sets the color of the pixel (hex, 3 bytes) and receives an ERC-721 token that corresponds to the pixel. The top left pixel is pixel 1, to the right of this pixel 2. Below pixel 1 - pixel 1,001 and the bottom right pixel is pixel 1,000,000. Pixel tokens can be exchanged like any other ERC-721 token. Using the same smart contract, any owner of a pixel token can change the color of the corresponding pixel.
Pixel tokens have a function actually. Tokens are an integral part of a work of art. Anyone with access to Ethereum can create an image. Nothing is stored outside the blockchain.
Project usage prices:
- pixel cost — 0,005 ETH;
- the cost of changing of the pixel color — 0,001 ETH.
Python functions work to create canvas from blockchain, buy and modify pixels. Hexadecimal values can be entered as a string in the buy and change functions. For example, "000000", "FFFFFF", "E02619".
What else should you know about the blockchain resource?
The canvas will exist as long as the Ethereum blockchain is running. Ethereum contains the complete state of the image, pixel by pixel, and, furthermore, any changes are permanently saved as events. It is censorship resistant and does not depend on any data outside the blockchain.
How to use the project:
| Step 1 | First of all, you need a Web3 wallet. To use Etherdoek, you need an Ethereum wallet like Metamask or Trust Wallet. |
| Step 2 | Choose a color. Color values are in hexadecimal format. Use Google 'hex Color Picker' for help. |
| Step 3 | Select a pixel and click on it to take ownership. |
The site lacks WhitePaper and RoadMap. However, the developers still provide information about the project through the blog. There is a brief description of the platform and instructions for use. The community has twitter from social networks. The smart contract doesn’t have an audit.
