Brief description of dapp Factbar
Factbar — a censorship resistant fact store that is decoupled from advertiser-targeted information stores like Facebook and Google. Each available Factbar corresponds to one unique fact. In turn, each Factbar is a unique cryptographic token in a smart contract.
Fact bars are visible on the Ethereum blockchain as units in a smart contract. Like any ERC721 token, fact bars can be traded by market participants, but they can also be “claimed” by a special process. To qualify for it, you need to use ETH. Each Factbar works similar to a token or coin and can only be requested from one Ethereum address at a time. Once registered, you can claim any available Factbar on the leaderboard. For security reasons, the platform uses a withdrawal template that requires all users to make withdrawals through the Ethereum network.
What else should you know about the ETH platform?
The system does not charge a commission for withdrawing payments. However, you will have to spend a small amount of Ethereum to withdraw funds from the Fact bar - usually no more than a couple of US pence per withdrawal, regardless of the amount.
Fact bar life cycle:
|
Fact of filing |
No required login to verify the fact and Factbar does not collect personal information. Fact representations must contain text no more than 130 characters and a link to a credible source. |
|
Editorial process |
The facts, presented in the Fact bar, that meet the minimum checks for severity, grammar and punctuation, are added to the leaderboard. Any registered user of the website can bring up the issue either in the text of the fact panel itself or in links, used as support for the fact. |
|
Amendments |
Facts can change over time or can be challenged. The factbar algorithm will identify the facts that are most contested, both through textual analysis and by analyzing other ranking factors. |
At the moment, there are no White Paper and RoadMap on the site.
However, the developers provide other sources of information:
- section with answers to questions;
- description document.
The community does not lead social networks. The smart contract doesn't have an audit.
