Description of RealityEth
In order to provide correct output for smart contracts, they need a reliable way to validate input. The goal of the reality.eth project - to provide developers with a flexible tool. And it works with any approach, from trusted arbiters and distributed juries to coordination games. Using a link escalation system, it allows anyone to post a question and anyone to answer. You can post questions either through the reality.eth dapp or their own user interface.
Project advantages:
| Firstly | You or your contract can ask an arbitrary question and get an answer to it. People, who give the correct answer, make a profit. |
| Secondly | Gas costs are low enough, especially to correct false information. |
| Thirdly | Dispute resolution procedures can be freely chosen and switched easily, whether centralized, distributed or experimental-theoretical. |
You will need the Metamask Chrome extension. You will need ETH to post or answer questions. Once the question is completed, anyone, who provided the correct answer, will be able to withdraw funds.
How to use the platform?
Click the "post a question" button and fill out the form you see. Enter a clear, unambiguous question in English.
Enter the amount you are willing to pay as an incentive to whoever answers your question. You pay when you post a question and the money is collected by the person, who gave the final accepted answer.
Question type:
- Binary. The simple answer is yes or no.
- Number. By default, questions allow up to 13 decimal places.
- Choice: you can select one answer from the list.
- Multiple Choices: you can select multiple answers from a list.
