About the RenVM project
RenVM — a decentralized custodian of cryptoassets that enables universal interoperability between blockchains. The user can use RenVM to send any asset to any application in the chain.
Use RenVM to expand the capabilities of existing decentralized applications or create entirely new business cases in a decentralized world.
Why you should trust this project:
| Multilateral lending | Use your existing non-storage smart contracts to secure cross-network assets. |
| Transfer cross-chain assets to your DEX | Integrate cross-chain assets like Bitcoin and Zcash into your existing DEX or liquidity pool infrastructure. |
| Cross-chain over-the-counter trading | Large volume OTC traders no longer run the risk of counterparties not completing the trade. |
Ren VM is designed with ease of use in mind and can offer its own user interface, where users are only required to commit one transaction from one chain. The developers call this generic interoperability. RenVM replaces the trusted custodian role with a decentralized custodian. This decentralized custodian is implemented, using the RZL MPC algorithm, which can generate and manage ECDSA private keys without ever revealing them. This improves the performance of WBTC and imBTC, eliminating the need to trust a centralized custodian.
