StableEscrow allows users (Escrow Payer) to block DAI in Escrow, paid to another user (Escrow Payee). Escrow may also have a moderator who can settle the contract in the event of a dispute. The cost of gas to create an Escrow is about 230,000 gas and 10 Gwei - $0.86. StableEscrow charges a 1 DAI commission for escrow creation, which is non-refundable once an escrow account appears.

Description of the StableEscrow
You should click the “Create Escrow” button on the StableEscrow website. If the factory escrow contract has DAI approval for the required amount, a new escrow will appear. If the DAI approval is less than the required amount, then 2 transactions will be processed. One for DAI approval and one for creating a new escrow.
There are 3 differences between the regular version and the contract version:
| 1 | The contract version creates a new contract for each escrow and locks DAI in the new contract. In the regular version, all escrow amounts are locked in one Escrow contract. The contract version should be used when the escrow amount is large and intended for advanced users. |
| 2 | The contract version must be activated by the payee to be valid. As with the regular version, all escrow are activated automatically. |
| 3 | The contract version has a save option that allows the escrow payer to receive interest during the settlement of the contract. |
The payer's address will need to give DAI approval to the factory escrow contract for a specified amount.
If Escrow Payer plans to use StableEscrow frequently, then they can grant DAI authorization for an amount equivalent to multiple Escrows, rather than set infinite approval like most other DAI-enabled apps. Granting perpetual DAI permission to address a contract could prove to be a security threat in the future.
Additional information
There are no WhitePaper and RoadMap documents on the site. Instead, a section with answers to questions is available. Thus, you can get a more detailed understanding of the features of the project. The smart contract doesn’t have an audit.
