Tether has increased its reserves by another 1 billion USDT on the Ethereum network. The last time this stablecoin exchanger replenished its reserves was at the end of January 2024, when 1 billion USDT was also issued on the Tron network.

The technical director of the company, Paolo Arduino, noted on his Twitter page that this operation to increase the reserves of stablecoins on Ethereum was authorized, but not implemented. He stressed that these funds will be used for future requests for issue and exchange between blockchains.

At the time of writing, the capitalization of USDT is 97.7 billion dollars, and for this stablecoin the market is 70.68%, according to DeFiLlama.

It was also previously reported that Tether had frozen 49.2 million USDT at three different addresses.
