Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has suspended access to three addresses where 49.2 million USDT are stored in total. According to information from Whale Alert, 21.67 million USDT is stored at the first address, and there are also 3331 ETH, estimated at $7.68 million, according to Debank.
The second address revealed 16.48 million USDT and about 35.2 ETH, worth approximately $81,000. The third wallet holds 11.05 million USDT and 0.47 ETH, valued at more than $1,000.
Builders should pay attention that all three addresses may be interconnected, since, in addition to the USDT and Ethereum stablecoins, each of them has MTV and PLS tokens, totaling less than $3.
It is also worth noting that shortly before the blocking of these addresses, 40 million XRP was sent to the Binance exchange.
As a reminder, in November 2023, Tether had already frozen $225 million in crypto wallets associated with an international criminal organization, and in December, the USDT issuer blocked another 161 wallets.
