The Arbitrum community came up with the idea of organizing a fund for memcoins

Mar 25, 2024

In the Arbitrum community, it was proposed to create a fund aimed at supporting projects in the field of memcoins. The author of this idea argues that such a move could attract additional liquidity and new participants into the ecosystem.

His note states: “There is no reason why Arbitrum should not encourage the development of the memcoin sector. After all, other blockchains have done so too.”

The initiative is to create a fund with an initial budget of $3 million, which will be used to finance individual projects in the field of memcoins.

The following requirements are put forward for candidates for the fund: liquidity volume of at least $200,000, capitalization of $1 million and above, as well as a low percentage of large token holders.

The author notes that drawing up the proposal took him about an hour. He calls on community members to suggest improvements and adjustments, after which a vote is planned. Most commenters expressed support for this initiative.

Earlier it was reported that the Arbitrum Foundation decided to finance gaming blockchain projects in the amount of $200 million.
