On January 5th, an unknown user sent 26.91 BTC (almost $1.2 million at the current exchange rate) to the wallet of Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin.
According to The Block, the funds in the sender's address came from three sources. The majority of the funds originated from a wallet that was identified on the Arkham Intelligence platform as belonging to Binance.
Currently, the genesis wallet holds 99.67 BTC worth approximately $4.4 million. The funds stored in it have not moved since the disappearance of the creator of Bitcoin in December 2010.
He also expressed the opinion that this phenomenon could be called an "unusual marketing move" in connection with the possible approval of the spot Bitcoin ETF.
