The leader in price growth among cryptocurrencies was the meme coin BONK, which increased by 7302% in a year, reaching a price of $0.0000146 by December 28, 2023. BONK's success was reinforced after it was listed on the Binance and Coinbase cryptocurrency exchanges. Another factor could be its connection to the Solana blockchain, which aims to compete with Ethereum's dominance.

Second place in terms of price growth was taken by the cryptocurrency Injective, and third place was occupied by CorgiAI. In total, eight out of the top 100 cryptocurrencies recorded price decreases in 2023. Among them were tokens such as Tether (USDT), USDC, Dai, BUSD, TrueUSD, Toncoin, Chiliz, and Sui.

CoinGecko analysts note that the profitability of the top ten cryptocurrency companies in the past year ranged from 632.8% to 7302.9%.

According to CoinGecko's research, Bitcoin outperformed 65 tokens from the top 100 in terms of growth, increasing its price from $16,540 to $43,418, representing a 162.5% increase.

Analysts from Matrixport claim that the price of Bitcoin could rise even further, especially considering the expected launch of the first ETFs in the near future.
