Cryptowhale has withdrawn 4.2 trillion SHIB tokens from the exchange in the amount of $38 million

Jan 20, 2024

On January 19, approximately $38 million worth of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens were transferred from the Bitvavo exchange, amounting to 4.2 trillion tokens. This transaction, recorded by Whale Alert, has sparked significant interest and led to numerous speculations about the intentions and identity of the recipient.

The mentioned transaction, in which the funds were moved from the cryptocurrency exchange to a private wallet, may indicate a desire to enhance the security of token storage without necessarily indicating an intention to sell this meme token.

This is not the first significant token transfer this year: on January 1, a transfer of 4.23 trillion SHIB tokens worth $44.45 million was registered. Prior to this operation, there were transactions involving 4.24 trillion SHIB tokens ($44.64 million) on December 30, 4.25 trillion SHIB tokens ($44.91 million) on December 29, and 2.28 trillion SHIB tokens ($23.58 million) transferred from the Binance exchange to an anonymous wallet on December 26.

According to CoinGecko data, on the evening of January 19, the SHIB price fluctuated around $0.00000917, corresponding to a modest 1% increase. Weekly indicators showed a negative trend of 5.9%. The market capitalization of SHIB was $5.44 billion, with a total trading volume of $164 million in the last 24 hours.
