Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the introduction of risk warnings for 10 altcoins that have undergone significant changes in their token economies over the past 18 months.
List of Altcoins with Risk Warnings
Binance will add warning banners and pop-ups for the following altcoins: Travala (AVA), Chiliz (CHZ), Enjin Coin (ENJ), IOTA (IOTA), Lisk (LSK), Metal DAO (MTL), Orion (ORN), Self Chain (SLF), Solar (SXP), and Vanar Chain (VANRY).
Reasons for Implementing Changes
> "Binance takes community feedback very seriously in order to provide a high-quality platform for all users. We have heard your concerns and are taking action to increase transparency around tokens that have undergone significant changes to the token economics and supply. Starting October 1, 2024, Binance will provide a risk alert banner and pop-up notification for these tokens on our platform. To gain trading access to tokens marked with significant token economy changes, users must first confirm the pop-up notification. These changes will apply to the following tokens: Travala (AVA), Chiliz (CHZ), Enjin Coin (ENJ), IOTA (IOTA), Lisk (LSK), Metal DAO (MTL), Orion (ORN), Self Chain (SLF), Solar (SXP), and Vanar Chain (VANRY)."
Future Steps by Binance
Binance also added that going forward, listed altcoins that undergo significant changes to their token economics or experience a significant increase in token supply will be subject to risk alert banners and pop-up notifications.
In this way, Binance aims to increase user safety and awareness by introducing risk warnings for altcoins with changes in their token economies.
