Binance's Evolving Monitoring Tag Mechanism

Jul 1, 2024

Binance has updated its Monitoring Tag system by introducing 11 new tokens and removing two existing ones. The tokens categorized under the Monitoring Tag are known for their heightened volatility and risk profiles in comparison to other digital assets.

Traders aiming to engage with tokens under the Monitoring Tag must complete a quiz every 90 days on Binance Spot and/or Binance Margin platforms and agree to the exchange's Terms of Use. The quizzes serve to educate users about the risks associated with trading these particular tokens.

Tokens labeled with the Monitoring Tag face the risk of falling short of Binance's listing criteria, potentially resulting in their removal from the platform.

Binance conducts periodic evaluations of projects to determine the appropriateness of applying or removing the Monitoring Tag from tokens, assessing facets like team commitment, development activity, liquidity, and security.

Binance assured users that the alterations to the Monitoring Tag list will not affect related services concerning the mentioned tokens. The exchange expressed appreciation to its users for their contributions to maintaining a transparent and long-term growth-oriented cryptocurrency ecosystem.
