Bitcoin Price Growth Expectations

May 4, 2024

In light of the recent decision made by the Fed, there seems to be a shift from falling cryptocurrency prices to rising ones. Bitcoin, currently trading above $63,000, has caught the attention of market experts with their optimistic comments.

Potential for Bitcoin Price Increase

Comments made by Fundstrat’s co-founder, Tom Lee, have stirred up interest in the market. Lee believes that Bitcoin's price still has room to grow and has not yet reached its peak. In a recent interview with Anthony Scaramucci on the “Speak Up” program, Lee stated that while a reversal may not happen right away, the price is not at its highest point.

Lee also discussed the recent price drop in Bitcoin, referring to it as a bear trap and an opportunity for investors to buy at a favorable price. Despite the chaos in April, Lee remains optimistic about Bitcoin's future.

Current Bitcoin Price

As of now, Bitcoin is valued at $63,000, marking a 6% increase in the last 24 hours. This rise comes after a brief dip to $56,000 on May 1st.

Bitcoin Price Chart

Lee had previously predicted that Bitcoin could reach $150,000 by 2024. However, after hitting an all-time high of $73,737, Bitcoin saw a 16.2% decline in value.

Bitcoin's Future Outlook

According to Lee, Bitcoin signifies the ultimate form of trust and stands out as a technological breakthrough. Despite the misconception that Bitcoin is impractical for everyday transactions, the research director at Starbucks argues otherwise.

Lee believes that due to Bitcoin's increasing adoption and recognition by financial institutions like BlackRock, its value will not drop to zero again. He asserts that Bitcoin offers numerous advantages and is gaining support through spot Bitcoin ETFs.
