BlackRock selected Lindsey Haswell, Moonpay's Chief Legal Officer (CLO), to join its board. Haswell will be taking over from Kimun Lee, who will be stepping down in November this year.

The decision to include Haswell in the board comes at a time when BlackRock's IBIT is experiencing slowing inflows. Despite this challenge, BlackRock believes that Haswell's previous experiences at Blockchain.com and Core Blockchain will be beneficial for IBIT's advancement.

Industry experts view Haswell's appointment as timely, given BlackRock's current market position. IBIT stands as the second-largest spot Bitcoin ETF by AUM, although it has recently faced a halt in inflows, with zero recorded in the past three days.
