Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will, for the first time, use blockchain technology to award around 50,000 degrees during the convocation on September 9.

AKTU plans to award approximately 50,000 degrees to its engineering and management graduates and postgraduates, aiming for a safe, fast, and transparent system. Assistant Registrar Ayush Srivastava stated that the move is towards creating a tamper-proof and decentralized system for securely storing and verifying academic credentials.
Expectations from the New Digital Approach
University officials emphasized that the new system helps prevent document manipulation. Vice Chancellor JP Pandey noted that it enhances the security of degrees through immutability and transparency, making it nearly impossible to forge records. Students will be able to print their digital degrees as needed.
