Bolt has announced that its application has become the most downloaded in the travel and mobility category in Nigeria for 2025, according to data from the analytics company Sensor Tower. Bolt operates in over 50 countries and has more than 200 million global users, enabling it to take a leading position in the Nigerian market.

Bolt places great importance on user safety. The General Manager of Bolt Nigeria, Osi Oguah, noted that the company will allocate €100 million towards improving safety over the next three years. He stated, "We strive to ensure successful rides for all our users." Lola Masha, the Regional Manager, also highlighted the significance of ensuring a safe experience for drivers and riders, stating, "This is our priority."
New Features and Expansions
As part of its strategy to enhance user experience, Bolt introduced a new "Family Profile" feature that allows users to manage and pay for rides for up to nine people from a single account. The company has also developed a feature that turns drivers' mobile phones into dashcams, aiming to improve safety levels. These innovations are intended to support accessible and inclusive transportation in the region.
