Former US President Donald Trump expressed his desire for all future Bitcoin mining to be undertaken in the United States, reaffirming his supportive stance towards cryptocurrencies leading up to the November Presidential elections. Trump emphasized the importance of Bitcoin mining as a strategic defense against Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), accusing President Biden of promoting anti-Bitcoin sentiments that benefit countries like China, Russia, and the Radical Communist Left. In a meeting on June 11 at Mar-a-Lago, Trump met with Bitcoin miners, including representatives from CleanSpark Inc. and Riot Platforms, pledging to support the BTC mining industry if elected. The co-founder of CleanSpark Inc., S. Matthew Schultz, shared his encounter with Trump, highlighting the President's enthusiasm for Bitcoin and the mining activities in Georgia, Mississippi, and Wyoming.
