Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in Hong Kong had a strong start with a total trading volume of over HK$49.4 million during the morning session on Apr. 30 on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd. (HKEX).
China Asset Management’s ChinaAMC Bitcoin ETF had the highest trading volume, reaching HK$22.97 million, while the Ether ETF processed HK$10.47 million in volumes.
The debut of six Ethereum and BTC ETFs led by China Asset Management, Harvest Global, Bosera, and HashKey took place following approval. Harvest's Bitcoin and Ethereum funds saw significant trading activity, and BTC ETFs recorded HK$3.59 million, while their Ethereum ETFs reached HK$1.53 million.
Investors outside of Hong Kong can purchase these ETFs, but those in China are still unable to invest in them. Analysts predict that ETH ETFs may only capture up to 10% of Bitcoin flows, with varying perspectives on their success in the market.
