Coinbase is currently facing a legal battle as customers have accused the company of operating with an illegal business model from the very beginning. This lawsuit is in addition to a previous case brought against Coinbase.

After customers filed the lawsuit, Coinbase responded by dismissing the claims as "legally baseless" and showing confidence in the legal system to address the matter appropriately.

It is essential to note that this new lawsuit is distinct from the ongoing legal dispute between Coinbase and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding whether tokens sold on the platform should be classified as securities.
