This change comes after the adoption of a CC0 copyright license in 2022 that allowed third parties to freely use CC0 assets.

Moonbirds is not only updating their copyright policy but also reevaluating their art direction. This involves creating 3D avatar robots for animations and potentially integrating them into Yuga Labs’ Otherside metaverse in the future. The primary goal of Moonbirds is to bring tangible collectibles to the platform to engage the community and bridge the gap between physical and digital worlds.
