Nigerian Court Postpones Binance Laundering Case

May 2, 2024

A Nigerian court has delayed the money laundering case against cryptocurrency exchange Binance and two of its executives to May 17th. The exchange's lawyer mentioned not receiving necessary documents to prepare for the case. Binance and its executives are accused of money laundering and unlicensed financial activities, facing charges in Nigeria. The court ensured delivery of remaining documents and allowed the lawyer to review them before the next hearing. In addition to the money laundering charges by Nigeria's anti-corruption agency, Binance and its executives will also face court for tax evasion on the same date.
