In an effort to expand its presence in the crypto space, financial services provider Stripe has established a strategic alliance with Avalanche blockchain network.

Reported on X, Avalanche made the significant announcement of integrating with Stripe, allowing customers to buy AVAX tokens directly through the popular payment platform. This integration provides users with a convenient way to complete AVAX transactions without requiring the services of a cryptocurrency exchange.

Recent speculations suggest that Stripe will reintroduce cryptocurrency payments this summer, with the USDC stablecoin pegged to the US dollar and supported by Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon blockchains. Co-founder John Collison mentioned that the return of cryptocurrency settlements has enhanced the quality of service provided by the company.

Simplified Process

Stripe's innovative fiat-to-crypto onramp has been incorporated into Avalanche's ecosystem, specifically its Core wallet, as part of the new partnership. Users have various options to fund their wallets including ACH transfers, debit/credit cards, and more.

The capabilities implemented by Avalanche and Stripe include a user-configurable widget integrated into DEXes, NFT platforms, and digital wallets built by Avalanche.

Users interested in creating a Core wallet only need to complete basic authentication forms similar to those for Gmail or Apple ID. Afterward, purchasing AVAX via Stripe becomes a straightforward process using the Core extension or web app. This integration addresses the common challenge of initial funding for new users entering the Web3.0 ecosystem.
