From August 1 to 31, 2025, the National Round of WCHL 2025, a global hackathon focused on supporting developers within the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem, is taking place.
Overview of WCHL 2025
WCHL 2025, an initiative led by the ICP HUBS Network, aims to support and showcase talented developers. The hackathon spans four months and consists of three main phases: the qualification round, national round, and regional finale.
Key Stages of the National Round
The National Round is a critical phase where teams develop their ideas into functional MVPs. Participants gain access to mentorship and technical workshops. Emilio Canessa, Director of Global Adoption at DFINITY Foundation, noted, “WCHL gives developers what they’ve been asking for: real time to focus and build, real support from experts, and real pathways to growth.” 50% of projects from the qualification phase successfully advanced to the national round.
