Worldcoin is back in the spotlight after forming a partnership with MIMOS Berhad, the applied research and development arm of the Malaysian government, to promote digital proof of humanness across the country.
New Partnership
As per a Worldcoin official announcement on August 16, MIMOS has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Tools for Humanity (TFH) foundation and MyEG, a well-known e-government services provider, to incorporate the AI project’s technology into the nation’s digital infrastructure.
Digital Credentials
The goal of this memorandum of understanding is to enhance current and future efforts pertaining to digital credentials by using the protocol and TFH technologies developed as part of the AI project. The corporation also stated in its press release that digital proof of humanness is important in this AI era.
Expanding Collaboration
The Malaysian operations of Sam Altman’s AI-meets-crypto project will provide users with access to humanness verifications via the use of TFH’s state-of-the-art iris imaging technology, known as the World Orb. The collaboration will also expand into other important domains, such as joint Orb production and connecting World Chain to Malaysia’s national blockchain infrastructure.
The Worldcoin and MIMOS partnership aims to enhance Malaysia's digital infrastructure using advanced AI technologies to improve digital credentials and humanness verification.
