Mar 29, 2024

The AAA-class fantasy blockchain game Illuvium has raised $12 million in Series A funding to launch its interconnected gaming world planned for release in the second quarter of this year. The round saw participation from investors such as King River Capital and Arrington Capital, bringing the total project funding to $60 million.

The project aims to create a series of interconnected games that could rival the popularity of Pokémon Go. Currently, Illuvium has developed three blockchain games: Illuvium Zero, Arena, and Overworld. The platform has implemented a revenue-sharing model, providing stakers with 100% of the game's revenue in the form of $ILV tokens.

Illuvium's strategic efforts have attracted over a million registered users. In 2022, virtual land sales in the game generated $72 million, indicating a high demand for the project's offerings. One of the playable titles, Illuvium Zero, allows players to produce critically important resources, further enriching the fantasy world.

Leading up to the launch of its games, Illuvium revamped its management structure, including industry experts. Strategic partnerships were forged, including a recent debut on the Epic Store and collaboration with Team Liquid. These efforts, combined with extensive gameplay, solidify Illuvium's position as a leading force in the blockchain gaming sphere.
