In a bid to enhance the earning potential of e-hailing drivers, the Lagos State Council of the Amalgamated Union of the App-based Transporters of Nigeria (AUATON) has introduced a cutting-edge LED car roof advertising scheme. This initiative comes at a crucial time as drivers prepare for the financially demanding Yuletide season, and the publication demonstrates positive momentum in the developments.
New Advertising Initiative for Drivers
The scheme, as outlined by council chairman Comrade Jaiyesimi Azeez, involves the installation of high-tech LCD roof displays on participating vehicles. These displays will showcase advertisements from various companies, providing a new revenue stream for drivers and fleet owners alike.
Potential Earnings for Drivers
Drivers can expect to earn between 70,000 and 150,000 naira monthly, depending on the duration of the advertisements displayed. Azeez highlighted that this initiative is designed to transform cars into income-generating assets. This makes it an attractive option for both full-time and part-time drivers looking to boost their earnings with minimal effort.
The University of Lagos has recently expanded its electric vehicle initiative, aiming to promote sustainability and reduce carbon emissions. This development contrasts with the new advertising scheme for e-hailing drivers, highlighting diverse approaches to enhancing income and environmental responsibility.
