Last week, the NFT market experienced a 16.55% decrease in sales, reaching $358 million. This reflects a general trend across the three leading blockchain platforms, which saw a week-over-week reduction in NFT sales volume.
Ethereum remains at the forefront with sales volume of $129 million, despite a 20.98% decrease from the previous week. Bitcoin-based NFT sales also fell by 20.44%, with sales volume just over $124 million. NFT sales on Solana last week decreased by about 5%, amounting to $61.68 million. Polygon and BNB Chain round out the top five blockchains by NFT sales volume over the seven days.
The leader among NFT collections for the week was "Ordinal Inscriptions" with sales of $57 million, 43% more than the previous week. It was followed by the "Bored Ape Yacht Club" (BAYC) collection with sales exceeding $13 million, reflecting a 14% increase.
Peplicator, Nodemonkes, and Mad Lads were also among the top five NFT collections by sales volume. The most expensive sale of the week was Frxethredemptionticket #158, sold for $842,000, followed by the NFT ORDI, which brought its previous owner $493,000 on March 15.
Despite an overall 16.55% decrease in sales for the week, the number of NFT buyers increased to 370,111, which is 245% more than the previous week.
